Brown, an abandoned dog

Brown is a stray dog, who has lived (and survived) in our neighborhood for about 10 months.

His is a touching story that I wrote about him.

March Madness

Watched some games last night, very disappointed they didn't show Cleveland State winning and celebrating.

I saw other school victories with the band playing, people shouting etc. but the score just appeared as if it was an old game.

This after watching the game till the last few minutes. Shame on the media. Go Vikings!!!

Gib Shanley held me up

My personal memory of Gib Shanley is from many years ago at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. We were leaving an evening party and it was very icy. I had high heels on and suddenly slipped.

From out of nowhere, Gib Shanley caught me under the arms and stood me on my feet before I hit the ground.

I was so surprised and exclaimed "Oh my God!" Besides falling, I didn't want people to think I had been drinking too much at the party.

Gib said to me, "It's these new shoes with the plastic bottoms - everyone's slipping and falling."

Ever since, whenever I'd see him on TV I'd remember the night that Gib Shanley held me up.
